The iPhone

The iPhone is "totally cool", never before seen capabilities and ideas premier in the new device, watching a five minute video about the phone will make the hair on the back of your neck tingle as you exclaim "Wow!" ...maybe you won't experience that exact feeling, but you can't watch the video without smiling or shaking your head in disbelief. If you haven't seen the video click here to watch it.

Ok, so we all know it's an awesome piece of technology...
A company called Cisco already had a copyright on the name "iPhone" and Apple proceeded to release the phone without working out an agreement with Cisco. The day after the "iPhone" was released Cisco filed a lawsuit, no surprise... Of course Apple knew the name was already taken, they had tried to work out a deal with Cisco, but never came to an agreement. The could have released the phone regardless in order to create more hype over their new product, they also could have felt they had good enough argument for the courtroom, or maybe they just ran out of time and couldn't come to an agreement. Yet, why is Apple in such a hurry to release their product when you can't even buy it for many more months? My best guess is they wanted to release it before Vista came out, many of the iPhone's breakthrough features were expected (and are included) in the new Window's Vista. Perhaps they didn't want to appear to be copying any of Microsoft's ideas, or even make it look like they were the first to come up with the new features found in the iPhone and Vista software, even though Microsoft has been working on Vista for five years. Perhaps just a conspiracy theory... Either way the iPhone is still the most advanced phone yet created, I just wonder how durable it will be, like how well the direction sensor really works. It could be all it's said to be, but when words like unbelievable are used to describe it.. well take that literally.
